Your tax forms and IDs are the papers a thief wants most. Here is how Docs2books looks after them.

Read on your device

Documents are read in your own browser. A file goes to our server reader only when you press Read with AI on that one file.

Numbers masked

Social Security numbers and long account numbers are masked before any text is kept, and are never put in a file name.

Encrypted

Files and data are encrypted in transit and at rest. Download links are made for you on the spot and stop working after a few minutes.

Walled off

Each cabinet is walled off inside the database itself, not only in the app, so one cabinet can never read another's papers. Plan and billing details cannot be changed from the browser.

Two-step sign-in

Turn on two-step sign-in in Settings and every sign-in also needs a code from an authenticator app on your phone.

You choose who sees what

• People you invite see the cabinet. An invited accountant sees only tax, work and business papers.
• An accountant link opens one tax year, ends on the date you pick, can be turned off at any time, and logs every download.

Never sold, never used for training

We never sell your documents or data, and never use them to train AI.

Deleting means deleted

Deleted documents wait 30 days in Recently deleted, then the file and its record are removed. Deleting your cabinet removes everything in it.

Payments

Card details go straight to our payment processor. We never see your full card number.
